Xinchen Zhang is senior modem systems engineer with Qualcomm Inc. in San Diego, CA. He received the B.E. degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in 2008 (with honors). Afterwards, he joined the electrical engineering department in Univ. of Notre Dame, IN, USA, and obtained the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He held visiting/internship positions in University of New Mexico, NM, Broadcom Corp. in Sunnyvale, CA and Huawei US R&D in Bridgewater, NJ. Before joining Qualcomm, he spent one postdoctoral year in wireless networking and communications group in University of Texas at Austin, Texas, USA. Dr. Zhang has broad interest in the field of wireless communication. His research/work experiences include signal processing, wireless channel characterization and modeling, random network analysis, interference management and mitigation, MAC and power control scheme design.
